Price around the results
Revenue growth broadens across Pine Labs' platforms
Consolidated revenue grew +24.05% YoY and +9.40% QoQ, while operating profit grew faster at +67.13% and +32.73%, respectively. The operating leverage came from expenses growing +18.40% YoY and +5.95% QoQ, below revenue growth in both comparisons. Management said the YoY revenue increase reflected broad-based momentum across both platforms and added that mid-market DCPs grew 49% YoY.
Lower costs lifted margins, but profit quality needs attention
The slower expense growth expanded operating margin by 4.02 percentage points YoY and 2.74 percentage points QoQ. Interest expense fell 33.19% YoY, although it rose 10.93% sequentially, while depreciation increased +15.26% YoY. Margin recovers from Q1 but remains near the lower end of the recent range
Operating margin recovered to 15.62% from 12.88% in Q1FY27, after declining from 17.73% in Q3FY26 to 15.19% in Q4FY26. The rebound breaks that two-quarter decline, but the margin remains below the recent 17.73% peak. Management points to soundboxes, airlines and international expansion
Management said Pine Labs plans to deploy about 10 lakh soundboxes over the medium term and that six airlines went live in H1FY27, with another marquee airline scheduled for H2. The company said it is extending its Malaysia playbook to the UAE, Philippines and Singapore and has partnered with a global payments technology player to scale Tap & Pay and UPI transactions. Management expects consolidated ETR to taper gradually to about 30% by the exit of FY27, while saying Q2 net working capital was 14% against a sub-15% FY27 guidance.
Past result-day moves have been evenly split
Across the four most recent result reactions, the stock rose twice and fell twice. The moves ranged from +2.69% to -5.65%, with a median absolute move of 2.69%, so the historical pattern does not point consistently in one direction.
